Maybe it's a sign.

I ordered these nursing pj's online the other day. I got them a couple days ago, And I must say. They looked cuter online.

They are okay, but those buttons have got to go.  You can't see them real well in the picture.  But in real life they are ginormous.

My current watch is horrendous. It works, but it is just unsightly. And while I don't mind wearing it around the house, I need something slightly nicer looking to wear out and about. So...I ordered this watch.  Again, it looked much cuter online.  Maybe it's just me, but this picture doesn't make it look super flashy.  But in real life, it's very sparkly.  I'm not real into super sparkly.  Some sparkle, yes, but I don't like the idea of blinding people when I walk by with wrist full of crystal.  I still plan to wear it because I'm to lazy to send it back.  But I think I will stick to wearing it to church when I'm in a dress.
It's not uncommon for me to find I liked something much better online than in real life.  Maybe it's a sign that I need to get off my lazy butt and actually go to the store to buy stuff like this.........nah.

My birthday cupcake...and its sad ending.

Not much exciting happened for my birthday. Pretty much just an average day. I took the kids to their kindermusik class, which they love. We came home and just hung out. Some highlights of the day were when Jacob pooped his pants (an every day occurence). Later Lizzie pooped in her diaper and decided to dig in it (another regular occurrence). Then later, Lizzie took off her diaper and pooped on the floor and then walked to another spot and peed. That was great.

On a brighter note, Mike brought home dinner. Red Robin. My favorite. The kids sang happy birthday to me and helped me blow out my candles. Then they decided to help themselves to my cupcake. It was pretty entertaining. The first video is of the kids helping me blow out my candles. We didn't have 32 candles around the house, thank goodness, so Mike put 3 candles on. "One for each decade", He says. Nice.

The second video is of the kids going to town on my cupcake. My poor, poor cupcake.

Mike got me a new wedding band. My original band was soldered to my engagement ring. I only wear my ring when I go out (when I remember). I don't wear it around the house because it causes injuries. lol. So, Mike decided I needed a band that I could wear on a regular basis. He got me this one that matches his. Very nice.

Mary got me this awesome Apron. I lurve it!!! I have been wanting a cute apron for a long time. I wear it all the time. :)

And now, it is time to put my children to bed, because we are starting to have melt downs and I am about to lose my sanity. Then I am off to bed myself. G'night all. And thank you for the wonderful gifts and all the birthday wishes. :)

Happy birthday to you. How does it feel to be 32??

That is what I woke up to Mike singing to me this morning. He likes to rub in that I am older than him. Rude.
Anyhoo...I found these pictures the other day and thought they were fun and decided to post them. These are from my second birthday. So, here ya go.

Wasn't I so cute. :) If you ask me what happened, I may have to come hurt you. :-D

My Little Pack Rat

Sorry these aren't the best pictures. Some of them are pretty blurry because she wouldn't hold still. I first noticed her doing this when we started doing time outs with her. When we would go to let her out of her room we would find her gathering whatever she could find in her arms and crying. It was like a comfort thing to her. Now she just randomly does it. She goes around the house gathering up all sorts of random stuff and she gets pretty frustrated when she can't hold it all and she keeps dropping stuff. She usually comes to me and wants me to hold some of it for her. She is a funny girl.

This picture is of the first time she did it. I picked her up and sat down with her and her little collection and she fell asleep. Yes, that is one of Jacob's shoes she is cuddled up to.

I find little stashes of random things around the house, like this. A pair of pants, some toys and I think a sock...not sure. Yes, that is an armless and legless barbie doll. She is from the dollar store and easily dismantleable (if that's even a word).

She recently started using baskets or boxes to gather stuff in since she can't always hold all her collection in her arms. In this one she's got a pair of Jacob's pajamas, a doll, a hat, a shirt, a flashlight, a slipper, a green lacing string that goes with a set of wooden lacing beads and who knows what else is under all that. And she is about to add a seat cushion.
Sometimes I wonder if I really gave birth to a squirrel or something. She cracks me up. My kids have weird obsessions and I'm pretty sure they get it from their dad. Cause, you know, stuff like that can't possibly come from me. I'm too normal.

Happy Valentine's Day

Even though Mike and I don't really do anything for each other on V-day(unless you count the chocolate cow pie I made for him last year),
we still usually do something fun for and with the kids. Last year I got all crafty and made valentine gifts for the kids. This year I have no motivation. Mostly because I feel huge and tired and I can't even manage to keep my house clean most of the time. But, I still managed to fit in a couple fun activities for the kids.

(the top is mine and Lulu's and the bottom one is Jacob's.) I had plans for a bunch of other things, but ya know. Like I said, no motivation. So, this year was kinda lame. BUT, you cannot have valentines day without sugar cookies. It's a rule in my house.
First they got to play with some cookie dough (mostly ate it) while I made the actual cookies.

Then they each got a cookie and some strawberry flavored frosting. (because I ran out of red food coloring and had to use strawberry flavored kool-aid to color it. Worked out pretty good and I think I may just do that from here on out.) I put some frosting on Lulu's cookie to show her how to do it and she actually tried to add more. But mostly they just ate the frosting. Notice Jacob's cookie remained frostingless. :)

I also let the kids pick out a valentine balloon at Walmart the other day. Because when we walked in they had them EVERYWHERE!! We're talking, every clothes rack and every check out stand had at least 10 balloons hanging from it. There was no way I was getting out of there WITHOUT letting them have a balloon.

For dinner, we are having heart shaped biscuits and gravy. And that folks will be it. No chocolate covered strawberries or chocolate cow pie this year. Sorry. Maybe next year.

Potty Training Progress

Can I just tell you how much easier things have been since we waited until he was ready. I was beginning to think he would never be ready. Then I decided to put him in pull ups just to see what he would do. He would occasionally ask to go potty, but for the most part just go in his pull-up. After a week of that I finally just decided to put him in big boy undies to see how he'd do. And let me tell you, he immediately started going in the potty. He didn't like the feeling of wet undies. We still have an accident or two during the day, but I am so amazed with what he is doing. Usually his accidents happen when he is really involved in something and not paying attention. It has been a week now and he finally went poop in the potty. We still put him in diapers at night time and lately he has been asking to go potty even when he is wearing a diaper. This morning he woke up dry and asked to go potty and for his big boy undies. It has been a lot easier than I was expecting. I am soooo glad I didn't push it before. He's doing so good and I am hoping he will be completely trained in the next couple day. Fingers crossed. :)

Product Review

Okay, I rarely do product reviews. But seriously, this thing is the BEST invention EVER!! I want to find the person who came up with it and kiss them. I HATE dryer sheets. I used them, because if I didn't I would constantly get shocked while folding laundry, or getting dressed. Whites and towels are the worst for static build up in the dryer. So, out of necessity, I used the stupid things. But then I was finding them EVERYWHERE. Actually, I still occasionally find a random one on the floor somewhere. And I hated having to put one in with every single batch of laundry I put in the dryer.
One day, I was at the store picking out dryer sheets when I saw this. I remembered seeing adds for it and thought, what the heck. I'll try it. I splurged and bought the one that lasts 4 months. It cost me about $7. Kinda pricey, but now that I've started using it, I've found that it is worth every single penny. I love just tossing the laundry in and not having to worry about putting in a dryer sheet every time. I was so sick of finding dryer sheets everywhere, I had just started to search for the stupid thing as I was taking laundry out of the dryer. I hated searching for it. I no longer have to worry about it. YAY!! And the bar smells really good. Which is saying a lot coming from a pregnant woman who has a sensitive nose and gag reflex. I will NEVER go back to regular dryer sheets again. EVER! The end. :)

Dear children who wait for the bus outside my house,

I would really appreciate it if you would not:

Ride up and down my driveway on your skateboards and slam into my garage door,

Throw things around my yard and especially around my garage door. I know it was one of you who broke one of the windows on the garage door. I know it's tempting with all the pine cones lying around, but please refrain.

Slide around on the ice on my driveway and slam into my garage door and throw chunks of ice around,

Leave your garbage in my yard.

Thanks.

Dear Parents waiting with their children waiting for the bus outside my home,

When you see your children doing the above things why on earth do you just stand there and LET THEM??? Why do you wait for me to come out and tell them to stop?? Seriously.

Also, please stop leaving your beer cans, Mt. dew cans and coffee cups on my lawn and in my garbage can. Thanks.

Your annoyed Neighbor

p.s. I'm a little curious as to why some of you drive your children to and from the bus stop when you live just down the street. It's a little weird to me.
