Yesterday we went to walmart to do our grocery shopping. We had two carts. One for the kids and one for the groceries. When we were just about finished I remembered I needed to buy a new bra, so I took the kids with me and left Mike to finish getting groceries. I went to the bra section and picked one out and as I was holding it up examining it to make sure it was what I wanted, Jacob grabbed it from me and says "Mermaid!!" and proceeds to hold it up to my chest. (The Little Mermaid is one of his favorite shows.) I (laughing) quickly grabbed it from him before anyone noticed, and stuck it in the cart far enough away that he couldn't reach it, but then he started freaking out and yelling, "MERMAID, MERMAID!!!". I decided at that point that it would be best to leave the underwear section as quickly as possible and find something else to distract him with. He wasn't easily distracted, but at least out of the underwear section people didn't know what he was talking about. :)

Happy Birthday Mike!!
Here he is as a baby. Wasn't he so cute?!?! I mean, he still is and all, but he was an adorable baby!

And here he is today, doing a manly pose for the camera.

This one was while he was too busy to pose for the camera.
He was actually working on something for his cake...cause he's a perfectionist and I wasn't doing a good enough job. haaahahaha. Just kidding. He really is a perfectionist, but I actually asked him to take over this particular project. I will post a picture of the cake later. Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Puppy
Lizzie loves her stuffed animals. She especially loves her puppy. I love her little sing song voice. I have a video of Jacob somewhere saying puppy in the same sing song voice when he started talking. I was going to post it along side this one, but couldn't find it. Darn it all. Anyhoo...Here is Lizzie loving on her puppy.

Pictures and Commentary

At the beginning of winter, we bought hats and gloves for the kids so they could play outside when it snowed...then it never snowed. Well it did, but not much. So when it snowed this day, I went to get out them out and they were NO WHERE to be found. It was driving me crazy. I looked everywhere. In the end we had to improvise. He was wearing my mittens and my beanie in this picture. And all the stuff Lou Lou is borrowed. We did eventually find the ones I bought. They were in a suitcase for some reason. Hmmmm...weird.
"I know he's in there...I can HEAR him."
After a while he got bored with the slides and decided to do what little boys do best...play in the dirt and weeds. Fun."Look Mom a ROCK!"

This is the boy's "smile for the camera" face. I love the squinty eyes. Lou Lou has recently started making the same face.

"Yummy ICE CREAM!!"

Grandpa Pants. These particular sweat pants are to long for him and he hates that he ends up walking on the cuffs. So he pulls them up like this.
Lou Lou wanted in on the good stuff too. Here is her pucker. Oh the mean things we do to our kids.

Phew, that was a couple months worth of pictures. There were lots of others that I wanted to post as well. Then I remembered, most people don't get as excited about pictures of my kiddos as I do. :)
